Mookie was so much better of a player than Pat Bev. It's a dumb and lazy comparison.
Ao who would go with - current player Mookie comparison.

I’ll be honest I really don’t recall watching him play. For some reason a name that pops into my head is Eric Bledsoe.
mookie was a bad shooter, good passer, and great perimeter defender who led the league in steals for two seasons. he averaged 2.3 spg over a 13 year career. that's amazing. it's really hard to find a comp for that in today's NBA.

he's definitely better than beverley but i can see where the comparison is made.
The scrappiness and perimeter defense is where it makes sense to me, though, as you say, it's obviously not a like-for-like perfect fit.

That steal avg over the span of Mookie's career is a damn impressive stat, hand-checking notwithstanding.
So the Beverley comparison is a good one, Simmons is right, Verb is wrong. Got it.
Thought that was fair, unless, as Verb says, I've made a dumb and/or lazy comparison (which is entirely possible) ...It's not like Simmons said Harden, who is an absolute matador...I enjoyed watching Mookie more as a player, but, that's neither here nor there, though, I admittedly find the NBA to be a zombie league these days compared to generations past, so, mine isn't the most objective of responses, either.
Verb was wrong. It’s cool, man. Relax.
The hell are you on about? Not interested in "right or wrong", merely continuing a conversation for something to shoot the shit about...simmer down

Also, didn't realize Bill Simmons sold The Ringer to Spotify for like $200 million not too long ago.

It was funny when bill pressed ed about the goodness of greta van fleet and ed remained silent after both questions until finally answering with a comment about a different band.

He's probably looking to marry her when Jill ages out of the "acceptable for a musician" range :haha:

It's around the 120 minute mark.

His comments on Gretta Van Fleet are indeed met with silence, but he also doesn't give them much of a chance to respond and moves on to the next question very quickly.

I liked how Jeff took over the new bands talk mentioning Idles, Murder Capital etc.

I'd rather have a beer with Jeff than Ed (kind of obvious really).

I got into Murder Capital because of Jeff. He is always looking for pretty cool things.

Ed used to be like that more in the mid 90s i guess.

Ed still has pretty good taste. Just leans more poppy, influenced by his daughters no doubt.
