I LOVED her skit. Having seen her in all sorts of other material -- Comedians In Cars, interviews, etc -- I think she's just a huge goofball who never really stops being "on." I mean, did you see all the Crayola marker title cards she did, and the artwork on her walls?! I imagine she'd be doing this exact same thing even if no one knew who she was, and I love that about her.

This whole episode is like 33% classic SNL, 33% gonzo experiment, 33% guerilla comedy. They're taking actual fucking risks and not fussing over the details. It feels loose and raw in a way the show hasn't felt in many years.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Her Chalamet impression, the bit where Che made Jost read a racist joke because Che's grandma died, and the Beck/Mooney/Armisen song were the only moments in this godawful program that elicited anything other than a cringe. None of them rose to the level of laughter

:hooray: Pure joy. So NOT the time to be cynical or overly critical. Really thankful for this episode is what has been a non-stop month of stress and anxiety.
I'm with you buddy. I love what they achieved in no this modern context. I laughed. I was moved. I'm grateful for this reprieve and example of creative comfort. This is what this show was designed to do. Though flawed it might still be an all time favorite ep. What a genuine joy!

Chris Martin was the low point for me. What an odd song choice.

It was different, definitely a "let's put on a show" enthusiasm. Obviously it wasn't the usual look and the material itself was its usual hit or miss self. I can see them doing another in a couple weeks but I hope they can return to the studio for a proper finale.

tom hanks was charming. i liked his kitchen cabinets.

the zoom call sketch was so hacky, so much missed potential to tap into a cultural moment there...omg old people, so funny

chris martin was fine

how is colin jost a professional comedy person? how did he get this job? why isn't he producer on impractical jokers or some shit like his brother?

the rest was just boring
