I love the top seven. They’re all wonderful. LBC and Comatose are good based mostly on my moods. The last two are some of the better songs on their albums, but they still suck.

I'm looking for more music kinda, I guess, like DOTC. I know you'll all probably say Talking Heads, but I think that I'm thinking more "r&b with guitar."

I would really not describe DOTC as anything resembling r&b. More like new wave or post-punk.

Try The Rapture’s first album

Edit: sorry, Echoes (2003)
Listened to a couple songs. Echoes and House of Jealous Lovers. I like it. A bit more up tempo than I was expecting, some of their stuff a bit slower too?

It’s definitely looking to CBGBs for suggestions, but half those bands masturbated to R&B 45s, so it’s generational.

This song is for kids on a fat (edit deflating listen) bounce house

maybe we are listening to different songs. r&b is literally what i use to describe this song. its a pretty obvious inspiration next to talking heads, who have clearly been influenced by r&b and funk as well.

What r&b does it remind you of?

i dont think there's a specific artist, its just the feel of the song. i guess maybe prince w the guitar parts, and i remember reading the producer compare the guitar parts to nile rodgers.

Maybe we interpret the genre differently; "r&b" is a pretty broad term anyway, but when I think of it my mind goes to things like

or

or for something more recent
