I thought there was going to be a Mirrorball related release. Is that still happening?

Re: The Official Neil Young Thread
While working from home yesterday I had myself a little mini-Neil marathon:
Unplugged
Bluenote Cafe
Tonight's the Night - Live at the Roxy 1973
Songs for Judy
Tuscaloosa
Delightful, every last one of 'em. Definitely in "taking less for granted" mode these last few days -- music sounds better than ever!

I have Dreamin' Man Live '92 downstairs, I'll throw it on the turntable today just for you.

Here's the problem with Neil.Farmer John wrote:I thought there was going to be a Mirrorball related release. Is that still happening?
Everything is eventually happening.
He just doesn't tell you when.
You get an inkling that something might be coming soon.
And in the end, it might not even be what anyone was expecting.
I am most looking forward to Odeon/Budokan 1976...which has been on the books for like 20 years now.
Right now he has everybody erect with promises of "Homegrown".
But it's just as likely that he'll change his mind and put out a live album from the 80's instead.
It's hard to complain when everything is so good.

It really is all so good. I wish more artists followed his archive model.

I haven't heard anything about Homegrown in relation to the delayed RSD. Bull Moose has tweeted that some RSD releases are coming out in April anyway, and I hope this ends up being one of them.Wendy Carlos's Twin wrote:Right now he has everybody erect with promises of "Homegrown".

I'm sure it'll be on the archive in April, we just might have to wait a little for the LP maybe

NYCH Buffalo '91 up in the theater today. So epic. One of the best versions of Cortez I've ever seen, and I know that gets thrown around a lot.
The Hearse now has multiple screens to accommodate the rotating schedule and the Fireside Sessions.

Neil wrote that there are a few things that will probably get fixed beforehand but it will get an official release. Of course it's one of 20+ possible projects to get out at this point so who knows when that'll be.makeshift wrote:It Rocks! A clip from Rust Bucket (Catalyst 1990) is in the queue for this week as well, so hopefully we'll get the whole thing of that soon.

Re: The Official Neil Young Thread
Does anybody have a list of all the exclusive shit currently available for streaming? I didn't realize that it was available in hi-res.
Someone made me aware that the original mix of his first LP is on there now, albeit with the CSG processing still in place, which can be (and has been) reversed digitally. Listening now and it's great.
I tried navitgating the site but it's super confusing and I find myself at the bottom of the page without being able to scroll back up. Fuck that.

If youre on the timeline....look to the upper right hand corner next to the resolution/song display. The keyhole. Click that and you can search.Wendy Carlos's Twin wrote:Does anybody have a list of all the exclusive shit currently available for streaming? I didn't realize that it was available in hi-res.
