Binaural song run from 5-13 is epic:

NAIS
Thin Air
Insignifigance
Of The Girl
Grievance
Rival
Sleight of Hand
Soon Forget
Parting Ways

You accidentally typed a 5 instead of a 1 and I guess you accidentally forgot a few songs there.

Actually, it's not so much that the chorus is poor as much as it is that the disconnect between verse and chorus is so great that the air gets let out of the song. S/T isn't all that bad up to and including Unemployable; I just think besides Army Reserve it falls apart after that.
Agreed, except that I find Army Reserve boring as well so the entire second half is meh to me. I'd never felt that way about a PJ album at the time, so it was a pretty bad thing.
Army Reserve was my favorite song on ST after my first couple listens, but now its prob in the bottom half...its still a decent song, the jam at the end is killer...love matts drumming on this song too

Production aside, I've always felt like Side A up to parachutes is a nice EP while Side B is a collection of ok B-sides. I don't mind the chorus on Marker. I like parts of some of the songs from then on but it's such a noticeable drop after Parachutes and it is unlike any other PJ album in this sense. The second half definitely needs another big song (Of the Earth) or a good closer (Cold Confession).
While a Western guitar motif lost on the swings drum bass fusion, get your own thoughts into the subconscious often forgotten. "Pendulum" is a sweeping soul from the ballast.

Its not a great song but that riff has balls. PJ riffs have been missing some balls the last two efforts.

We need more balls. :bammer:
the life wasted riff is pure balls
It's dumb as balls

I was never impressed by it. Just sounds like a boring Rolling Stones retread.

Stone has been quoted as saying its the best riff he's ever come up with. :shake:

I think if CC had closed s/t and Inside Job surfaced with Let It Ride people would argue IJ was the better song/should have been the closer.

Yes, you did say it. And, you are about as right with that statement as Stone was with his about Life Wasted.

So you're saying that the album will leak *before* the official release of the album?

You'd think that right? How the thread about those 2 songs evolved makes me believe this even more. When CC was still considered flawless i posted that i find the music repetitive and boring and Ed's vocal most likely not a proper take and really bad. Now I've seen the posts divided into those who think the music is boring and the vocal good on one side and those who find the music is good but the vocal bad on the other. Context influences the (initial) reception of a song and i think it's a real possibility had the 2 songs been switch their reception would also be considerably different.

None of the flaws on CC and LIR come anywhere near to the shitstorm which is the Inside Job lyrics.
