I only want to add this to show the general election match up in that poll.

Hospitals need to do surgeries to make money, not admit people they can't help who have a virus.96583UP wrote:surprising to read that hospitals are doing poorly financially through all this
one would think busting at the gills with customers would be good for business
i guess a lot of people aren’t paying?

The cost of living in chicagoland near my job, a certain area which is surprisingly good for the price, is the same as where my family is living downstate. Strictly hazmat pays much more than regular dry van hauling. There's no hazmat work downstate. There's a power struggle going on bewteen her and i about where to live. I want to be in chicagoland because its what is best forvthe family. She wants to live downstate. Not only is there no hazmat there but driver's pay there in general is so low.

I can't imagine it. Sorry to hear of this.spike wrote:i struggle with this thought too. heartbreaking.Rob wrote:Sorry for your (imminent?) loss. Re: Anybody want a Corona?
Sad to hear so many personal experiences with COVID in this thread.
I'm almost positive my mom had it back in early March, shortly before things started shutting down. She works in a hospital.
She was in the ER for several days with a respiratory infection and the only thing that seemed to help her was breathing treatments. They didn't issue her a test at the time because she didn't fit the profile (which I believe then only meant that she hadn't traveled.)
Next week her hospital is giving their staff antibody tests, so that will be interesting to see. However, the tests aren't specific to COVID-19 antibodies.

Our town is having a nice Pro-Trump, open ‘Merica back up rally today. The ONLY businesses in town that have closed are nail shops, haircut places, spas and gyms. Every other business in town has decided to stay open so I’m not sure what these people are even protesting.
Let me tell you, Homer Simpson is cock of nothing!

Dear Leader says to protest... doesn't matter if their cause is real or not. We've watched a religion form over the last few years. Still can't get over it.wease wrote:Our town is having a nice Pro-Trump, open ‘Merica back up rally today. The ONLY businesses in town that have closed are nail shops, haircut places, spas and gyms. Would bet money that the people protesting own the nail salons and are protesting their inability to force their employees to work.

People need to work - the economy needs to be saved, it's that simple. Collateral damage is a small price to payRob wrote:Dear Leader says to protest... doesn't matter if their cause is real or not. Piers Morgan is a dope, and this won't change a single mind. However, he's a Trump fan, and I do think it's possible that we're underestimating the political damage this can do to Trump. The 46% who voted for him are not ALL fanboys. We are only at the "end of the beginning" of corona, as they say, and Trump is moving in the wrong direction.

Would prefer if the death cult focused on their own deaths, though. Hurry up and Jonestown yourselvesMcParadigm wrote:*death cultRob wrote:We've watched a religion form over the last few years. Still can't get over it.

Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?
