Trump has trouble stringing together coherent sentences as well. They're both old, only one of them is clearly crazy.

If the Illuminati wanted to get rid of him they would just do it after the election and position the VP they want. Do you guys really think plugging in whoever couldn't beat him in the primaries after putting Joe in a home next month is what's going to work in November? The Trump team works around their candidates profound instabilities, Joe's team needs to do that too.Mickey wrote:Pretending Biden doesn't sound like a dottering old granddad every time he talks is not going to make it go away, as Josh's post in the meme thread makes clear.Bi_3 wrote:verb_to_trust wrote:Why are you guys feeding into this bullshit? Re: Election 2020
and to think at one point the front-runner Dem nominees might have been two jewish guys
what about attempting to appeal to their demographic?
eco-terrorist-grade progressives aren’t the only ones in the Dem party who might feel like they got left out with the Biden nomination
what about old jewish guys?
i suggest Biden nominate Joe Lieberman
he’s got the jewish vote and the billionaire crossover appeal they are looking for
and he can probably deliver CT, a crucial swing state

Re: Election 2020
Yeah also Al Gore tried that in 2000. Joe Lieberman was basically excised from the party after that and a bunch of other missteps.
Biden is actually making a sound decision in seeking a female VP candidate. I think he needs to think hard about a candidate that also excites the base and pushes his vision forward rather than backward. If he can accomplish that he can beat Trump. A vision for the future while course correcting on exhausting drama and divisiveness I think is a winning combination. But if any of this is lacking come November I am less confident people will be engaged enough to vote for him.

Re: Election 2020
For a while, Nate Silver contemplated whether or not Biden was a "place-holder" candidate. And I don't know, but what if the reaction to Trump, in this hyper-partisan era, is a desire for a place-holder candidate/president?? I didn't buy the argument back then, but the establishment side of the Dem party consolidated quickly, and Joe started beating Bernie by more than Hillary did. This is despite Hillary having as many plans back then as Warren does today, and Biden just kind of existing. Maybe the failed "vote against Trump" movement that Mickey talks about just wasn't strong then, and Hillary was unpopular. Maybe place-holder Joe, in this new dynamic, is just some safer choice that can attract more of that 50+% who disapprove of Trump more than liking anyone else. Just a thought. Doesn't make me feel good, but maybe this is what it is.

If you don't think this hits Biden too I'm not sure what to tell you! Said it a few days ago, but the idea that this crisis can only hurt Trump is uhh not true.

Certainly the party of billionaire president trump and his cabinet full of fellow out-of-touch billionaires who pose at the US Mint with piles of money and think a can of beans costs a nickel and that $1200 is 8 weeks’ liquidity aren’t going to push the other side as rich and out of touch, are they?
I'm trying real hard to be the shepherd.
