Re: River Cross
The organ and Ed are damn decent on this one. The emotional spectrum is impressive. Matt's rolling toms and driving kick are fucking great on the choruses. A really great way of finishing this album.

This song is the absolute perfect finish to an awesome album. I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s really wonderful start to finish.
I love it.

Very nice performance. I thought there was a lyrical flub but I think ti was intentional, and made sense.
This will be very powerful live

I think Come Back is a criminally under-rated song.

Come Back is a potentially nice 50s slow-dance banger that is just sooo dull on record

"Come Back" may be the one Pearl Jam song that I think would almost certainly be better by a different band. I don't think the muscular rock arrangement they bring to the song serves it well, but I can easily imagine it being a knockout with more of a soul/R&B-type presentation.Ms Harmless wrote:Come Back is a potentially nice 50s slow-dance banger that is just sooo dull on record

yeah, but at the same time PJ puts that emotion im not sure another band could do. I mean, i know that song wrecks me because its PJ.Kevin Davis wrote:"Come Back" may be the one Pearl Jam song that I think would almost certainly be better by a different band. There are two ways of posting YT videos to RM.stip wrote:why do youtube tags never work?
Once upon a time, everyone used the "YouTube" code and the full video URL, which worked fine.
This became a bit more complicated after YouTube began using shortened video URLs in links, like the one you attempted to post.
The full video URL should still work with the old "YouTube" code, i.e.:
Code: Select all
After a while, RM introduced the "YT" code, which only relies on the video ID (the bunch of numbers and letters specific to each video) to work, i.e.:
Code: Select all
