More than anything else i'm just so grateful for this album. Grateful to have it during this difficult time, and grateful for the enthusiasm its sparked in me to revisit a back catalogue that i had frankly burned out on a little the last few years.
I've been listening in quick bursts (a dog walk, etc.) and I can pick ANY track and be completely immersed. This album is incredible.

Also, like KD said, the only times I'm thinking about other PJ albums when I'm listening to Gigaton is when I'm trying to rank it for the board or something in the music catches me and reminds me of moments from their past.

Does Gigaton have more threads here than any other album? Between the individual ones for each song, the official thread and this, it seems like Gigaton is the winner. All that's left is an LAL thread for it.

I don't have a clear favourite PJ album, it's usually whatever the last album was that I listened to from their first 6. Sometimes I even think Riot Act may be my favourite. I have never felt like that about S/T. I pretty much downright hate BS and LB, couldn't care less if I ever hear them again.

Gigaton has fully renewed my love for this band. I listen to it everyday, and I've dived back into old bootlegs, rarities, everything in the last month. I have pretty much listened solely to PJ since Gigaton came out. It might still be too early to tell for sure, but I think it will rank up there with the first 6 albums. If it doesn't fit in with those for me after a year or so, I don't see it being far behind.

I feel you on the spark for listening to the older stuff. That's happened with me as well.

I’ve been so into Gigaton that I haven’t had a desire for any other PJ. Except Binaural. I listened to Binaural all the way through a couple weeks ago. Other than that it has been almost exclusively Gigaton for me.

I listened to Yield last night on my run. MFC, Pilate, and In Hiding are the clear weaker points in the album, but they're 3 star songs at minimum, so it's still probably the most enjoyable album front to back.

I have always really really loved MFC.

Gigaton is holding up nicely. I probably listen once or twice a week now but it is always a good listen.

PHATJ wrote:I just played the entire album twice, but on the second time through I went immediately into Binaural following River Cross. That transition into Breakerfall sounds fucking AWESOME. Seriously, you guys should check it out.

These two albums sound amazing back to back. :luv:

My reaction as well. In Hiding is amazing. I love all 3 of the songs mentioned, but In Hiding is an all time great PJ song.
