I like that idea! Its a bit out of place on Gigaton, but closing out LB would be perfect. They could have just released Future Days as a stripped down demo on a fan club single and it also would have benefitted greatly.

It is one song that encapsulates that entire decade perfectly and dismisses it with a lovely “fair well” of blistering drums, soaring vocals, and ringing guitars. Fifty.
Shit yeah, I am picking up what you're laying down. It sounds like BS/LB era to me, but I actually like it.

The final 90 seconds may have sounded a little different with LB production.

The final 90 seconds would’ve been cut by BOB and never existed at all.

And the final 90 seconds makes a good song great.

I definitely got a strong Sirens vibe on my last listen - comforting in the same authentically earnest adult contemporary kind of way

this is one of the songs where you can imagine what an Atmos mix could do for the space in the instruments. that ending with a really good mix? wow.

I'm not hearing too much LB/Backspacer in this one; someone mentioned R.E.M. at one point, and I think I hear that pastoral, folk vibe of the Out of Time era of the band at points here, particularly in the chorus.

For that poster that is obsessed with Led Zeppelin; this is your song from this album. This has some distinctly Zeppelin like playing in the verses. Kinda of reminiscent of Over the Hill and Far Away... maybe. I’m not sure. But this has Zeppelin influence for sure.

Oh also, Quick Escape is PJ’s Kashmir.

My family and I went on a short hike in the foothills today. They are finally turning green (a big deal for this east coast kid) and the first wildflowers are shooting up. A coyote and a herd of deer crossed our path. The entire time Retrograde was spinning in my head. I think this one finally clicked. I really like it!

Well that was unexpected - one of the last songs I would have thought would be a ‘single’.

The video looks like it might actually be pretty cool too.
