raise your hand if you remember when evacuation was RM's Fixer
 Still love it, though. I remember feeling slightly bad once because I mentioned how much I enjoyed the TB2K version, long ago.

Pearl Jam fans were like that in the early to mid 90s. Now we just show our enthusiasm by forcing our babies to wear stick figure onesies. I frankly prefer us now.

You've just scared me. I know a fair few Pj fans who are now parents who make their babies wear them onsies.
if I had a pearl jam onsie I would absolutely cram Mia into it.

Really? Just not the stickman/I got shit one, ok?

I probably would too :)

Does it really matter that it was?

I think it's a brilliant song and yes I put it near the top of PJ's best.
No. I think Fixer is great after all. Just a comment on how the tastes/impressions of the board have changed over time.

i remember it well, and it still gets a pretty bad Rep. because of the chorus, but it seems that the vocal ones are fans of it, and thoes who were vocal about hating it are not regulars here anymore

Does anyone else remember feeling TB2K was the coolest thing ever?

Really was the right thing at the perfect time.

They do them every record cycle, they're called EPKs.

For some reason my most distinct memory of when TB2K came out was from when PBS (I think it was them) aired it a bunch of times. I was watching it, and my roommate (who wasn't a Pearl Jam fan) came in and sat down and watched for a bit. During Given to Fly with the sign language interpreter I was thinking "aww, this is really cool," and he turns to me and says "WHY THE FUCK IS A DEAF PERSON AT A CONCERT?" and then left the room. Now every time I get to that part of the film I just keep hearing his disdain and seeing his perplexed look in the back of my mind.

But yeah, TB2K has some amazing moments on it.

Believe me, I was by no means defending him. And I haven't spoken to him in probably ten years, so feel free to call him much worse for his commentary.

I was really hoping for more SVT type stuff in PJ20, but alas there was not.

Yeah, I'm not trying to be difficult or anything. But just because it's an interesting subject, and although I can't speak for them, as far as I'm aware I'd say that 1) people who are clinically diagnosed as 'deaf' may have a minimal amount of hearing ability enhanced by hearing-aids, 2) they go for the communal / social aspect and the enjoyment of the gathering, and 3) they'll experience the music / rhythm through vibrations in the floor, etc. They go for the same reasons as everyone else, but their experience is different.

Yep. SVT is basically just a long EPK.
