That lady isn't stupid she's evil. Loss of life is acceptable if there is enough of a positive economic offsetting
But we do this calculus all the time, right? Everything from factory-farmed food to driving in a car is some form of balancing risk/reward in loss of life and economics. In a state where the ability to acquire food and fund hospitals is based on people traveling and spending money there, there probably is some acceptable level of death that comes along. I think they should wait another month, but I can understand why she might choose this (and not be evil). If the casinos all go bankrupt, and unemployment is suddenly >75%, it might be worth it to them. Not me, but I am not them.
She's also not them since she wouldnt put her life on the line for it either.
Thus is state power.

My partner's been exhausted and coughing for about a week. No fever though. Her doctor made her get tested today for COVID. So we'll know in about 48 hours or hopefully sooner. Which means whatever she has I'm likely to get since we're in the house together all day.

I was having lunch during the Las Vegas mayor's interview and the break room's tv happened to be on CNN. It was a treat to see a bonkers segment like that live.
Glad everyone outside Vegas is waking up to how nuts ol' Carol is.

Would be great if a small room tax had been used by the city to build a rainy day fund that could take care of local workers during a massive emergency, good thing Carolyn Goodman didn't have anything to do with directing that money to a sports team instead. Anyway we definitely can't say she's evil or stupid.

You do have to watch the longer clip to get to the racism part.

The tell is in the complete lack of any concrete data they can present to contradict these studies saying the shit kills you and doesn't help with the Vid. All it leaves is this shameful peddling of a drug that can only be in bad faith.
