Re: MLB
All these ideas the league is supposedly spitballing are stupid. They're not going to bring hundreds of players to these locations without their families and isolate them from the rest of society for five months for our entertainment just so they can say they didn't cancel the season.
If things get back to (somewhat) normal in time to do a shortened season, maybe even in empty (or mostly empty) stadiums, I can see it happening. But these suggestions are awful.

I don't like the idea of the Cactus League and the Grapefruit League and empty stadiums. It will always feel like an illegitimate season. The WS winner will always have an asterisk

I kind of want them to do this plan just to piss off the crusty old baseball fans.

Re: MLB
If the WWE is essential to the state of Florida then surely hosting a Grapefruit League for baseball would be the same, right?

Red Sox video assistant fined a years pay, and the team is docked a second round pick for electronic cheating.
I’m sure the video guy just came up with this shit on his own.

Houston penalty: "It was mostly Cora, but the GM and manager both should have known what was going on, should have done more to stop it, and should have reported it when it didn't stop, so they're being penalized too and the organization will be hit hard."

Not to mention it was Boston's second time caught stealing signs illegally in just a few years. The combined penalty has been almost nothing.

After reading those two rosters I’m reminded of how much I’m still pained by the 1991 and 1992 World Series.
Also it’s complete bullshit that Jim Rice is in the Hall of Fame if Fred McGriff isn’t.

Thought of doing this, but then got real heated about the 1941 MVP race and was so angry that I couldn't continue.

The bullpen is the part that really blows me away, to be honest, since it includes 3-4 of the best performances ever.PHATJ wrote:Thanks for playing along. The Blue Jays have had some great seasons. I’m sure some tough cuts were made. That was the hardest part for me.
That Mark Eichhorn season is absolutely insane and is probably THE best relief season of all time.
14-6 with a 1.72 ERA in 156 IP without making a single start. Finished sixth in Cy Young voting as a rookie middle reliever. That 7.3 bWAR is not a typo.
