Re: The Running Thread
I feel like my stride noticably shortens on the treadmill. Which makes sense since I feel a lot more tired after a treadmill run than I do after an even longer outside run.

Re: The Running Thread
It's starting to feel more natural now. Just have to get used to it I guess.
18 consecutive days of running. I think my previous best was 5.

Shout out to Dev
Visualize this....Close your eyes before you walk to the ring of life. Think about this as your eyes are closed.
To exist in this world, we must contend with humiliation, broken dreams, sadness, & pain! No motherfucker can avoid it! We are programmed to seek comfort as a way to numb it all out and cushion the blow! The weak-minded are looking for safe spaces to hide.
OH, but there are a few of us that seek out misery, pain, and discomfort! You are that person! You must be the person that prays for the worst situation possible because, you know if it goes that way, you will win!!
Suffering is not for the weak! It’s for the motherfucker looking for the beginning of his/her soul! You want to see where most people’s desire and will ends and yours begins!
When pain comes to you and it will, make sure you are that person who smiles knowing that THIS IS HOME. Now open your eyes and crush all that comes before you! You and only you know the pain you are willing to endure to achieve what others think is the impossible! Stay savage!

Re: The Running Thread
My mile pace sucked today but I continue to eat one meal a day and am down like 15 lbs. Can't be too hard on myself.

Re: The Running Thread
Nice. I'd been hoping to drop about 10 lbs over quarantine, but after a strong start I've been hovering around the same weight for a month now. My mileage is up, but so is my alcohol consumption. Didn't help that I ate an entire birthday cake by myself over several days last week.
My end of June race is officially cancelled. Time to start exploring virtual options I guess.

Re: The Running Thread
I've started to run again during this stat at home order. Up to 2-4 runs per week covering around 2-4 miles each time. Feels so good to expend all the pent up energy.
