Backspacer!

I've just remembered why my drumming review gave it such high marks. The rhythm section makes the album in most of the songs.

So I listened to Speed of Sound tonight (on Backspacer) and actually quite liked it (cheesiness and all). :)

'Supersonic' isn't as bad as I think it is, but you've got to be in the right mood. It's still completely ridiculous.

Honestly, I really enjoyed it. I listened to it waiting for my bus outside the city hall and it accompanied the hustle and bustle around me quite nicely.

I don't really have as big an issue with Supersonic as most people around here seem to. It's not great by any stretch, but it's a fun wee number

It's lovely melancholy cheesy film music. It works, does what it does, etc. It would totally work waiting for a bus, I'd imagine.

I agree. It's got a Big Waveesque feel but it's ok.

The version they did at the Seattle 09 show for the Supersonics was fun, but I guess that was a "you had to be there" experience.
