Stellar episode of Survivor again tonight.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Silicon Valley since hulu has the free HBO offerings this month...i had seen the first two seasons back in the day, but fell off...starting with season 2 so hopefully i can get through this by the end of the month...i suppose i can get the free 30-day trial if I don't

yeah i had to stop at the beginning of season 5...it's just gotten a bit tiresome and i don't want to binge it right now just to get done quickly...i'm sure i'll try to finish it sometime down the road

Wife started watching (so in essence means "we've" started watching) New Girl on Netflix. A lot funnier than I thought it'd be. We just started season 2 last night. Didn't realize how long the show has been on. Schmidt is hilarious.

Real talk: it's legit one of the top ten shows of the last decade. And one of my personal favorite shows of all time. It stumbles in small stretches. It could have/should have been shorter and the final season is a sort of largely unnecessary coda. But the laughs in S7 (when they come) are so big that I can forgive it.

It's a flawed run but in the end it's a journey well worth taking. I've seen every episode seven or eight times now. It has tremendous replay value.

Awesome - we definitely look forward to watching the whole thing. I'd always seen it on Netflix, but for some reason it just never piqued my interest, then the Mrs. saw the little clip that plays when you highlight the show and thought it looked "cute". We were both rolling the whole first episode and haven't stopped watching since..
