Ah, yes, that makes sense.

Cold comfort, but thank goodness.

I originally voted "Life Wasted" but I think instead I'm hitching my wagon to "Can't Keep" in the hopes of having "Parachutes" for track 6.

Lots of albums with multiple good songs at track 11 or later. It just can't be LB (or Gigaton, for my tastes, though I know some people have some serious feelings for those songs).

I think that this is an interesting way to compile a collection of studio tracks, but cant see this as "Ultimate" neither the results will make a representative "album" of what is the sounds of PJ about. Not all tracks listed here share something coherent besides its track number. Many of them has differents styles and structures. And then I will have to vote in Brain of J instead of Cant Keep that are two very different songs that I love. (Actually this is a good challenge and I will keep voting in the next tracks.)

But as a suggestion, shouldnt we try to classify the discography in categories that we can compare similarities? For example:

1. Punk Tracks: Spin the Black Circle, Mind Your Manners, Comatose, Gonna see My Friends, MFC, Lukin

2. Palm mute intros Ed songs: Wishlist, Light Years, Love Boat Captain, Unthought Known, Lightning Bolt, Who Ever Said

3. Experimental: You Are, Dance of the Clairvoyances, Push me Pull Me, Who You Are, Nothing as it Seems

4. Bass Driven Tracks: Jeremy, Rats, My Fathers Son

5. Should be an Eddie Solo Song: Future Days, The End, Just Breathe, Comes Then Goes

6. Mike shreds: Alive, Go, Half Full, SBWM

7. The Drums make It worth: WMA, Evacuation, Cropduster

Then we would also have the classic RM categories like Spritzy Punk, Word Salad, PRAMG... It would be fun... (Maybe not)

We should go with The Fixer for #3 and Sleeping By Myself for #10 to not destroy this album.

No. This will be the ultimate PJ album and there's nothing you can do to stop that

went with Getaway. Initially wanted to vote for either Sometimes or Brain of J, but when I read how this would work, had to leave Yield and No Code on the table for later tracks.

Hm, Can't Keep. You definitely have to try and think ahead to where you want to fit your "bad" albums as opposed to your good ones.

Someone seriously created a dozen fake accounts to vote for Can’t Keep?

This song has absolutely plummeted for me over the past few years -- it was my favorite LB track when the album first came out, now it's in the bottom half of the record for me.

I think any LB track in the first half will absolutely kill this imaginary album's momentum. I'd say either "Swallowed Whole" at 8 or "Sleeping By Myself" at 10, and then rebound with something strong to cleanse the palate.

I remember MFS fondly but haven't listened to it in a long-ass while. Probably well over a year at this point

I agree with this whole post, except to say that Sirens was probably always my favourite LB track

I also do not like My Father's Son very much.

I feel like we all need to come to an agreement about which Lightning Bolt track we can live with, so that we can all vote accordingly.

I vote Swallowed Whole at 8.
