The Report.

Well, Adam Driver is always a force. The movie is alright, its a good political thriller but im kinda fed up with the whole ¨CIA- FBI saving the world¨ shit.
Its still a compelling movie.

I was pretty underwhelmed by this one. Driver was good but the material really lagged in the second half and the kind of all glory to good oversight ending rang pretty fucking hollow.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I dont remember the 94 version. This one, i liked it a lot.

I liked it but it also clearly did not deserve best picture/best director. Also the Odenkirk casting/costuming was awful.

We’ve been doing a rewatch of the Coen Bros filmography. I was pretty surprised the other night to feel that Miller’s Crossing wasn’t the gripping masterpiece I remembered. Maybe I was in the wrong headspace that night, but meh.

1917 was good, but I was still a tad underwhelmed. I guess it didn't feel realistic enough.

The newest Halloween movie was absolute garbage.

There are few movies that I've craved outside thoughts/opinions about less than Barton Fink. It is perfect. And other people's interpretations could only lessen what I got from it. I don't even want to hear the Coens talk about it.

Young Adult is by far the least of the Jason Reitman films that I've seen. I think I'm ready to just say that I don't think Diablo Cody is a very good writer. She has wonderful and interesting ideas but can't ever seem to fully get there.

But thank every god imaginable for Charlize Theron.
