What would the concept be this time? I'd like something more narrow like 1998 only or something like that.

There will be no Hall of Fame induction this year. The 2020 class will be part of next year's ceremony.

I’d be down for anything. Anything.

I am not a fan of the no league, 3 division idea. Not one bit.

EAST

New York Yankees and Mets, Boston Red Sox, Washington Nationals, Baltimore Orioles, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates, Toronto Blue Jays, Tampa Bay Rays, Miami Marlins

WEST

Los Angeles Dodgers and Angels, San Francisco Giants, Oakland Athletics, San Diego Padres, Arizona Diamondbacks, Colorado Rockies, Texas Rangers, Houston Astros, Seattle Mariners

CENTRAL

Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox, Milwaukee Brewers, St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Royals, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians, Minnesota Twins, Atlanta Braves, Detroit Tigers

It should be six even smaller divisions if they really want to limit travel.

They should add two teams and make four divisions of eight.

Personally, I’d be fine with no division, no leagues, but a wild, wild playoff format. Top 8 get a bye, 8 1-game playoff games, those 8 winners play the Top 8. Best of 3, Best of 5, Best of 7, Best of 7, Champion. Embrace scrapping tradition if for just 1 year only. It would give 24 cities and fan bases what they need now more than ever, hope.

You can add the Little League World Series to the list of canceled events.

I've decided I dont want baseball to return until they can safely have a crowd there, but I understand that no-crowd baseball is pretty likely.

If anyone would know about playing half seasons for full money, it's that guy.

fuck the owners. they're all too willing to privatize profits while socializing losses.

maybe they can get taxpayers to subsidize them on top of their publicly funded ballparks.

I have no idea what Teixeira said but I just saw an MMA highlight with no crowd and it was beyond weird.

That said, ESPN was airing Korean(?) baseball this past week without crowds and it really wasn’t that big of a deal. Like a normal A’s or Rays game on TV, really.

Nothing is stopping Mark from trying to get a spring training invite to play for no money.
