I'd want to get the Backspacer song out of the way, but Force of Nature is so boring. I think the best way to knock Backspacer out would have been The End, but that's out.

i hate johnny guitar. especially because of how much love it gets here. same as my fathers son. if either of those two make it to this thing i'll have a full on panic attack which will make you all responsible for my mental illness.

what does Force of Nature sound like - someone describe it to me
I know what all these other songs sound like
but that one doesn't ring any bells
i gave backspacer one quick listen when it came out and never went back (it is on backspacer, right?)
i don't want an actual listening of the song first-hand to bias this decision
i want to base it on RM feedback
feel free to use images and symbols to describe it, not just words

Seeing all the other songs up for track 4, I will likely not vote for "Johnny Guitar," but it is one of the few Backspacer songs I still enjoy listening to. I like its energy, its swagger, the syncopation in the vocals, and how weird it is to hear Ed sing about pussy

It has to be Force of Nature. I really can't go any other direction on this one, both for strategy and because it somehow, every-so-slightly, transcends its place in that album.
The argument for "Force of Nature" is sound. I like "The Fixer," but people won't vote for that. "Johnny Guitar" is the only other Backspacer song that feels like an acceptable choice for this. If things go awry we could easily be stuck with a Backspacer track that will torpedo this, which can nary be afforded after the selection of "Yellow Moon" in the prior round.
