You are, you are a furry thing.
^^^This was the first thought I had when the official lyric said "room" instead of "womb". I hear womb.

This is definitely one of their best openers ever. Best since Sometimes for sure...Hard for me to rank against Once/Go/Last Exit/Sometimes all of which I find to be great.

This and Can't Keep might be my favourite openers. No disrespect intended to Last Exit and Brain of J. :hooray:

something I just noticed is that I find the snare drum in this song very tasty; it has some resonance and ring, a little like Riot Act drums (and the song as a whole isn't unlike Riot Act in its sound)

Hypnotonic resonance, even. 8-)

There are so many great openers. Gun to my head, Go is the best. But Who Ever Said is great and absolutely making company with Last Exit, Brain of J., Breakerfall, and Can’t Keep. I want to listen to an openers mix now.

Did we ever agree on what Ed says at the beginning?

Hit me with a little respect?

This is becoming my favourite song on the album, although I could nearly make an argument for any of them, really.

It's the perfect opener. Great performances all around and it hits all the right emotional notes for me. This is an example of a "rocker" that's capable of making my eyes well up a bit by the sheer blend of emotion and craft.

A month ago, I kind of knew this would be true for me at some point. I've had it at my 3rd or 4th gigaton song all along, but deep down, I knew it would rise above for me.

I’m feeling similarly, though it may never get to number one for me. But I really love it.

this was definitely the biggest grower for me. I was underwhelmed on the first few listens. It was just fine.

It is definitely that run of the first 3 songs that keeps pulling me back in
