It's going to be pretty cold here (for the south) this weekend. I can't wait to fire up both crock pots on Sunday and have the whole house smelling delicious.

Crock potted a 6 lb pork butt the other day. Tossed in some Carolina style bbq sauce, and 8 hours later, had some nice pulled pork that will last for awhile.

do you really use fire or do you just plug it in? because i don't really feel the term 'fire up' and all your enthusiasm can apply when you're just turning a dial.E.H. When you say Carolina style, I hope you mean the yellow, mustard-based style.EJ wrote:Crock potted a 6 lb pork butt the other day. Tossed in some Carolina style bbq sauce, and 8 hours later, had some nice pulled pork that will last for awhile.

I like Memphis style too, but if I have to choose, I'll always go with Carolina.E.H. Ruddock wrote:It's simply the best.EJ wrote:of course.E.H. Of course I will. Although the Kalua Pig crock pot recipe I shared here was a big success, so I may not want to tarnish my slow-cooker credibility...
