For that money you have to be sure one 10 inch speaker is all you need.

A 10" can sound great, and very loud in the right amp.

As the long-term owner of that amp's ancestor (the 1962 "Bluesbreaker" combo), I think you'll enjoy it a lot.

I keep thinking about getting a new amp and i'd always veer towards just a lower wattage fender. But as far as fender amp is concerned, i dont think ill ever really top by Twin. I have that tone secured.

So, if i start thinking about something else, i've always wanted that classic marshall sound but really would have no business getting a classic plexi setup and cab. Most other marshalls ive found to be rather dull.

This one intrigues me quite a bit.

this or a vox. I love that this amp can be adapted down to the 5 wats as well. I mostly play in my bedroom

Question to someone more knowledgeable...

For recording, I plug my M Audio USB interface into the back of my Fender Twin "To Input" channel then run that into my computer. This Twin has an added master volume on the back of the amp (along with master and channel volume on the front) in where I can then cut the entire amp volume and play strictly through my headphones (no amp noise in the room)...

Any chance this amp has that capability?

It says it has a 1 x 1/4" (DI out), so I'm assuming yes. But I honestly don't know why you'd do that. I understand not wanting to bother the neighbors, but if you're taking the amp's tone, then denying it the air and room sound, only to replicate it in the box...Maybe save $1300 and just buy the Scuffham amps plugin

its just a nice handy option for those times I should definitely not be bother my neighbors.

I should get a real mic and and mic up my amp when i record instead of going direct into the m audio, yea?

If you were a pro studio owner, then it's immediately worth $1500 because your clients would find the use for it...

But for a guy making the occasional recording at home, I immediately go to what is my most frequent use/need. If you're seriously going to play it live in your home, then by all means go for it if it will inspire you to play, and yeah, get a decent mic.

But if you're just looking to have a particular tone on-hand to supplement your Fender amp, but don't really see yourself mic'ing the amp in your home, then just get the plug-in.

i still play out on occasion with friends, yoga, annual concert back home. It will get plenty of use. No doubt.

Still contemplating! What is a good recording mic for my noodling?

Also I should take a little course on how to actually record. Would be nice to collaborate on decent enough recordings with people.
