voted You Are. Porch is great, but for the most part, I just prefer You Are over what's left of Riot Act.

Heck yeah it is.

Setting aside retroactive opinions on earlier material, this was the first PJ song that I found boring and tiresome. But “heartland slog” really nails it.

I love that song. There is a droning quality to it, for sure, but the lyrical variations keep it moving along for me. Plus it has the good sense to not be too long. It's a really textured song, and has a great uplifting blast of an outro on a pretty mopey record. I used to be surprised it wasn't more popular round these parts.

For me, I Am Mine is okay but over time feels like Pearl Jam paint-by-Numbers. It was exciting at first but it just eventually fell into the vortex of exactly what Pearl Jam songs are like, nothing more nothing less. I don’t dislike it but I never seek it out.

It's not the most exciting song, but I like the chorus. I love that Mike seems to be doubling up on Ed's vocal melody, the little fill between lines, the organ... it gives it a nice and full almost orchestral sound. Not a favorite but I think there are worse songs on that album

Idk, there is a sort of desperation to that song despite the lyrics that I really like

gotta be You Are. Ten still has a few top songs available. Riot Act, not so much

I'm going to go put on I am Mine right now.

You Are is just too much of a cool idea with a flat execution for my tastes. It's fine, but it lacks the emotional weight of I Am Mine.

the way I Am Mine just keeps marching up that hill until it plants its flag at the end. So good. I love that song

You Are also suffers from terrible lyrics in the chorus.

I googled the lyrics for You Are and decided that that's the funniest song to put on here so I changed my vote.
