Don't worry Harmless, it's good. My biggest impressions so far is "PJ Gets Its Groove Back." [emphasis on groove!]

I love Getaway. Has an OLP feel.

So far the comments sound like a sampler of the wind that just flew out my ass.

Is it a return to form?
no. If there is one album this block of songs is indebted to it is backspacer, but (hopefully) for those of you who didn't like backspacer these will feel a bit richer and more complex. The same upbeat songs, but darker lyrical content as near as I can tell going through a second listen

I've downloaded the songs but I'm not listening until I crack. I got them because I know 10C will take them down.

Yeah, the groove is what struck me.

Bearing in mind these are low bitrate...there doesn't seem to be that 'sheen' that Backspacer had. Sounds a bit more raw, a bit less polished (that's a good thing in my book). Very little 'BOB flourishes.'

Fade out on Lighting Bolt is criminal.

So what's the first line of Swallowed Whole?
While a Western guitar motif lost on the swings drum bass fusion, get your own thoughts into the subconscious often forgotten. "Pendulum" is a sweeping soul from the ballast.

I kind of like it, or at least parts of it. Its really wordy, i feel. No i like it. The musics pretty cool, once we have proper quality i think it'll be great. I'll be shit on but it makes me think of a riot act song but with eddie singing with more...gusto. Better than 99% of backspacer on first listen.

The fade out on LB didn't bother me on 1st listen b/c I didn't find Mike's guitar work at the end that interesting.

If the quality on these isn't so hot, I might give them a miss for now.

given that these are the fast songs it's a much less aggressive record than I was expecting given MYM. LTRP is wry, not angry. Same thing with getaway
