I got the leak earlier today but probably holding off on my first listen till this weekend when I can listen in peace. Early fan and professional reviews certainly sound promising....

My book was delivered today though :luv: and have the audio version on Google Play. Good week!

I'm drilling into my first listen of the new album tonight. Any thoughts from those who have heard it? I've heard mostly positive reviews thus far but not seeing much feedback across the net yet....

i listened to it once. it sounds more like a collection of songs than a cohesive album to me. i liked a handful of songs but the rest was kind of whatever on first listen.

that's my typical take on any of his new albums (the like a handful/rest whatever). He takes a few listens to open up for me.

Waiting for the actual release.

Right, I normally have to listen several times before several of his songs click with me. Two Bells and Paper Hat for example; thought they were pretty underwhelming after first listen, now they're two of my favorites off his last release.

Have also heard others say the same regarding SSoS, lack of cohesiveness but I kind of expected that given that it's more a companion piece to the memoir. Will post my new album impressions later this weekend.

quite a bit of that on the last album. although two bells is maybe the only one that hasn’t clicked

I am also totally fine with just a collection of songs if they are any good

a new one or you mean the one from a few weeks ago?

i don't get the Conners, Lanegan is just expressing his side of his experience in the band. They don't have to agree.

You have a link? And of course they are allowed. The new drama now is on Twitter with Liam Gallagher. Kinda lame of Lanegan to keep the feud going.

Still have to sell copies of the book though. And I'm sure various media outlets will gravitate towards these issues as they are more easily clickbait over, I don't know, substance.

Started listening to the audiobook last night. I didn't realize the level of pure hatred he had for the Connors. Guess there'll never be a Trees reunion.
