I wouldn't rather skillet. But it's the only option I have and we do it up right. A skillet steak is fucking awesome, when done right.

We cook a prime (hey Chris) rib every Christmas in a cast iron baking pan. Sear it up on the skillet first, then let it bake while we get the horseradish ready.

I like to grill outdoors. Chicken thighs slow and low turn out pretty great.

my neighbor has multiple grills, smoker, green egg

always a great aroma wafting over from there

i managed to do some burgers and dogs this year

would like to get a smoker

any recommendations???

i don't know...i only use them on the egg when i smoke stuff for hours..i don't use them for quick grills..once the lid is shut i don't open it for hours so i guess i don't really know what the wood is doing other than providing a nice smoke after a couple hours
