Every album is well represented with one of its signature songs. It has a good mix of rockers, and more delicate songs. It has an interesting running narrative. I’d gladly listen to this mix, and I’d feel pretty confident handing it to a PJ virgin.

It would be fun to do this in a different order and see what happens. I'm convinced that there's actually no way to make a good album this way because everything from 2002 on is so bad, but Vs and No Code being knocked out on tracks one and two severely winnowed the field, and in spots where Pearl Jam is actually pretty consistently good (1-2 on Riot Act are about as good as that album gets).

There's over 39 million possible combinations and I for one think we should keep redoing this until we die

- There is no requirement to select an avocado, backspacer, or lightning bolt song
- Each of the other albums may have up to 2 songs from each album
- We can include up to 3 Lost Dogs
- Merkinball is eligible
- There are 16 tracks
- Songs that include Boom are ineligible
Then we might be able to make something

Oh yeah the Lost Dogs should definitely have been included. Has there ever been a band this bad at picking the right songs for their albums?
