Nope. Definitely Pete solo. Has a lot more of that "aging artist in the 1980's" uberclean production.

Mostly, these songs just sound to me like the very definition of "we got old and lost our mojo, but still kind of know how to sound like us" rock band.

In spite of myself, I was hoping to be surprised. Just another brick in the wall.
I'm not expecting you to like any of this stuff at this point, but from the early reports the songs you were going to like were not part of this leak

The only bonus is some of the more interesting songs (in terms of the listening party reviews) have yet to come.

I totally don't mind that they sound ageing; they are, you know? I just want songs that sound good.

Did anyone catch the embedded artist info for these tracks? - "PEARL JAM tracks for MLB"

looks like they may be doing some playoff baseball promos

The whole verse of that song is just the "taken on on on on on" from Thin Air repackaged. :shake:

that's just McP's more impressive version of the standard bon jovi dismissal. I don't know what any of that means.

That's true. I still think Mind Your Manners is alright, too...these songs sound like they belong on a different album from that song.

They've been 'repackaging' since S/T, probably before. I'm just gonna have to listen to these, make my own mind up.

Love the Wolfmother-esque guitar intro on LTRP too!

I always thought this album was going to be a multi-coloured affair, because of the two sessions. That mix of dark and light might work in context. It might not. But we won't know until we have the whole thing. I think a lot of PJ albums are defined by their best songs.

Do you really think I'm going to prefer 128kbs mp3s?

I think I like Swallowed Whole, which I thought from all early reviews and listening parties was one of the more weaker songs on LB

LB is really better than the live version (love the bridge!)

Ha! That's my play on everyone needs something to complain about. I have not heard these yet, so I'm no position to judge.
