Prestige TV was at one point an emerging and relatively disruptive cultural space but has since been captured and homogenized by corporate influence until it is just another receptacle for bourgeois values. After a long day of reading the damn Grundrisse I'd like to turn my brain off, please, not watch another interminable domestic drama called like "A&R" or "The Chair"

Finally got around to finishing The Good Place last night. Excellent show, glad they kept it to 4 seasons and didn't drag it out.
Gonna start season 2 of After Life next.

Four season was perfect for The Good Place. I agree that they did the right thing by pulling it when they did. Great show.Rob wrote:Finally got around to finishing The Good Place last night. Excellent show, glad they kept it to 4 seasons and didn't drag it out.

Watched the first episode of Upload on Prime last night. Decent and will keep watching. Like a very lighthearted Black Mirror.

Loved the first season. Really glad I started this show. A bit uneven perhaps, but the highlights were great.wease wrote:Were a couple into the third season. Man, what a show.Anders wrote:Started Ozark for the first time today. Seen two episodes so far. Enjoying the show.

I've been rewatching Community and Season 4 is even worse than I remember. It has its moments, but yikes. Season 5 is such a breath of fresh air after that. Donald Glover's last episode is one of the very best.
Still one of my all time favourite shows.

Everyone kept telling me about season 4 being a disaster, and i actually enjoyed it. Season 5 was good and i havent finished S6 but you can tell its kinda tired.Farmer John wrote:I've been rewatching Community and Season 4 is even worse than I remember. It has its moments, but yikes. Oh community is anything but toothless. Its sometimes deranged even.tragabigzanda wrote:i love Rick and Morty, the few episodes I've seen anyway. I just found Community to be so toothless. It's like that damn afterlife show with Veronica Mars and Ted Danson, what's it called. That one sucks too.VinylGuy wrote:I assume you dont like Harmon. Re: What are you currently watching on TV?
I'm in the middle of Season 5 in my rewatch, but from what I remember of Season 6, I thought it was pretty great and ended fairly strong.VinylGuy wrote:Everyone kept telling me about season 4 being a disaster, and i actually enjoyed it. Jonathan Banks is such a great addition in Season 5 and, from what I remember, Keith David was great in Season 6. I often think about this gem of a scene:
