So far ive only listened to Getaway and LB cuz im at work, but im really like what im hearing so far...both sound very fresh, modern..Getaway has a very nice groove to it and Eds vocal delivery is perfect...."we all need a sedative" ? i think i heard that in there...if so thats a great line....and as far as LB, I like it alot more than the live version, its toned down kind of, and again Ed sounds great..I still feel its too lyrical towards the end but i thought it sounded great...Great production as well...

am I the only one who's afraid LTRP will not fit in with the rest? I think the song is ok and I will like it more after a few spins, but it sounds so off in comparison to the rest...

I think we need more context. SMB I'm expecting to be super poppy/fast. I think this album is going to be all over the place really.

Yeah, that's why I really hope Yellow Moon will be awesome. Squeezed in between two pretty cheesy songs...

The only song inspiring me - as in, they've broken new ground - is Records.

The others are doing little for me

In fact, LB is pure tripe.
Swallowed Whole sounds like Far Behind with a drum track.
Getaway is OK I guess

LB is def a contiuation of UK, G2F, nothing new there for sure, but i thought it sounded ok...Getaway sounds like nothing theyve ever done, i agree with whoever said it sounded like the Killers....I thoroughly enjoyed it...I havent listened to the other two songs yet

A lot of this sounds like uncharted territory, but Binaural this will definitely not be (not that I want it to be that either). LTRP is fucking awesome. That and Getaway are my favorite of this new bunch. Still love LB and Swallowed Whole is pretty nice! I couldn't be more excited for this album now.

I said this to McP as well. You may not like those songs either, but based on everything we've heard from the early reviews the songs you are looking for are not part of this leak. That was yellow moon, infallible, my father's son, pendulum...

SMB is going to be cheesy as fuck and I'm really excited for that. Wow the end of Swallowed Whole is so good. The "with no quiet to be found" part is pretty.

The more experimental stuff will be here. We have the Backspacer 2 part of the album. It's better than Backspacer though.

These tracks are all marked "For MLB" so they definitely picked the more straight forward songs. I think the rest is going to be really cool.

Someone needs to archive the last 20 or so pages of this thread and play it back once the complaining and "god I hope they don't do another Lightning Bolt..." begins. I only say this because I'm a relatively positive fan whose biggest complaint is about Backspacer because its production is too slick and the album itself too short.

Based on these 4 ... It is not inspiring me and they have produced nothing fresh apart from maybe Records. But again, if another band released these, I'd be not listening again...
