It was recorded during the tour in which we saw him. I’m wondering how much of the material is the same. Can’t wait to watch it, tho.doug rr wrote:we watched it tonight...loved itE.H. Ruddock wrote:Seinfeld's new one is funny

I like him but I couldn't even get through this. The whole bit about being 50 was so boring and triteVinylGuy wrote:not a fan of him and i thought it was...not good.tragabigzanda wrote:New Patton Oswalt is good. Agree. Good analogy. And I've listened to the new PJ album...1x.tragabigzanda wrote:Yeah in retrospect this has gotten worse instead of better. Patton for me is a bit like Pearl Jam, and I’m always glad to check out what he’s creating. But the special is not great.

Re: The Stand-up Comedian Thread
when comedians become comedy actors, it's always awkward when they try and go back, especially when they dip into that barrel one too many times. it's like Ice Cube trying to rap again. i appreciate where you came from, but realize where you're at.tragabigzanda wrote:Yeah in retrospect this has gotten worse instead of better. Re: The Stand-up Comedian Thread
i saw it yesterday too. Yeah, i was actually amused on his performance. He is old school for sure, but i loved that. The bit about marriage was great because of his performance.tragabigzanda wrote:Watched the new Seinfeld standup special on Netflix last night. While nothing groundbreaking, I loved it because it was a comforting escape after a brutal week-and-a-half. And his ability to compose an hour-long special down to every single syllable and gesture, yet still have it feel really loose, is something to behold.
Very cool.
