Yeah the book is really great in a lot of ways. Especially for fans of the character. I just wish the show has bothered to use it.E.H. Ruddock wrote:I will say. The Ahsoka book did offer a cool insight into how Jedi make lightsabers.oneway23 wrote:I want immediate propers for correctly telling you jobbers that she kept the shoto.
Also, Ruddock's post offers even more justification for my growing feeling that I no longer need to read these books. Practically nothing is intertwined to the level which was implied when they junked the EU canon...The more recent ones barely even contain any relevant crumbs, at this point.
Of course, The High Republic is a brand-new story set in a unique era, and I'm a sucker, so, that won't last long...

If it's worth it, I'm going to take the time...Ahsoka deserves it...Damn you, Star Wars!
We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

Disney+ has probably been postponed to September here. Will be a long wait.

Re: Star Wars: Clone Wars
I generally don't like the Star Wars books, but I liked that one. I suspect it is because it's YA, and doesn't take itself as seriously as the adult books. Star Wars is a lot less enjoyable to me when it thinks it for adults.oneway23 wrote:If it's worth it, I'm going to take the time...Ahsoka deserves it...Damn you, Star Wars!

Lads what do each of you think is going on in that Epilogue
Why did she leave that blade did she leave it to fuck with him
What is he thinking when he picks up that blade he knows she still out there
Or He’s taking it that she’s dead
I thought I had made up my mind but having listened to all my Star Wars Podcasts reviewing it now I don’t know anything
There’s so many different interpretations of what is actually happening In that scene it’s mental

Re: Star Wars: Clone Wars
If the book had never existed. I would have assumed she left it there as a message that she survived.
However, the also runs counter to her behavior and comments earlier in the episode. She was definitely NOT proud of being responsible for taking down that star destroyer and killing all of those clones.
I can't imagine it's to fake her own death. There's no body. The saber was carried by SOMEONE and laid where it was. It didn't just happen to bounce out the front of the ship and land just past the graveyard.
If it was a symbol of her refusing her role as soldier, then why didn't she leave the other saber? Why did she later pick the role of soldier back up and fight with the rebellion?
If she was abandoning it b/c Anakin had tampered with it, again, why just one? In fact, I can't think of ANY reason for abandoning just one other than to telegraph her survival. I just don't know why she'd do that.

LOve that thank you
This whole epilogue almost Clashes with her final showdown with him
Or enhances it
She Only finds out Anakin is Vader when she meets him In twilight of the apprentice
So why leave that one Sabre unless it’s to confirm that she has a hunch maybe

Yeah, at this point I'm thinking she wants Anakin to know she survived knowing something happened to him, but not what happened.
