I am kind of with Juv on this. Looked cool, technically, but I'm not sure it worked. I am on the fence about the Greta appearance but I have tremendous respect for who she is and what she's done so that's fine. But it didn't quite fit. I like what they were going for with the tarot cards but it does feel out of place.

I dont really give a shit about Greta, and i loved it, mostly for the animation of most of the frames, the cards, the colors.
It made me listen to Retrograde three times today. Never before.

I really liked the video! I think it enhanced the song for me and really brought the Climate Change theme to life. Loved the visuals during the outro. Retrograde is one of the weaker songs on this album for me (still pretty good) but that outro was always fantastic and I think I like it better now after watching the video. And yes, it made me emotional.

For some reason that video reminds me of one of GNR's Use Your Illusion-era narrative videos, like the one for "Estranged" where Axl goes swimming with dolphins. Which is to say, looks pretty if you don't think too hard about it. I also feel like Mike is looking more and more like an aging member of Green Day.

The song has grown on me a lot, though.

I mean the song is called "retrograde" so that gives me astrology / esoteric / occultic spirituality vibes to begin with, so I'm not surprised about the Tarot cards or the psychic / crystal ball, and the idea of Greta as a "clairvoyant" foretelling bad times is kind of very of-the-moment imo
