ok but Animal is a 100 star song
Animal is great. A top 20 Pearl Jam song for me. Sad is challenging for the top spot.

Those guitar riffs, and the energy behind them, are apples and oranges:

Animal is a raw, twitching nerve upon which the tightly wound composition dangles like bloody sinew...

Sad is a tight, structured composition with a pop undercurrent. It's a really strong song, but it lacks the unique ferocity of Animal.

I agree, but I still like it. Its popularity is surely boosted by its status as a rarity. Also we voted for the same songs

I also voted for these three songs, and I agree with trag about Animal.

The fact that Even Flow only had six votes as of this post proves to meet that RM is brain dead.

I never really loved "Even Flow," even when I was way into Ten. I like Pearl Jam to be emotional, aggressive, or weird, and that song isn't really any of those things

I voted for Sad, but in the end my 3rd choice was between Sad & Even Flow. Sad is one of my wife's favorites, so I went with that one. But Even Flow wouldn't be out of place on any ultimate PJ album.

I wouldn't say it's weird. It's very classic rock. I do think it's emotional & aggressive. Probably suffers from being played so much.

I still really enjoy Even Flow.

It would sit comfortably within my top 20 Pearl Jam songs, it's just up against three of my absolute favourites (as above).

Agreed, I never understood the love for Even Flow. The verses are okay but the chorus loses me. It's just kind of...limp.

I just thought it's funny that Even Flow, one of their most famous and loved songs, had zero votes. I was not complaining or disagreeing.
