We binged this in a weekend. Definitely not good--major plot holes!--but it's a fun world to be in for a bit.

I liked S1 enough but Esmail is not in this one....so, well see. Janelle Monae is starring so thats a big plus.
Just started this tonight. First episode is slow but we made it through three and it's picking up. Monae is pretty good so far but I miss Bobby Cannavale being more involved.
I only saw the first ep of homecoming s2 and it was fine yeah, ill come back for sure. And Chris Cooper should get me more invested.

Upload was alright yeah...what are the plot holes?
Oh god, I can't even remember some of them--and maybe plot holes isn't the right word, more like inconsistencies?--but I just remember having a sense of like, uhh, that doesn't work. There were lots of little things, like:
Spoiler: show
Early in the season Nora has to sneak back into work to talk to Nathan and that's how she gets caught, but later in the season she's able to project into Lake View from her house.

Or, Ingrid snuck back into Nathan's car--we thought to kill him!--but it turns out she wanted to turn on "protect occupant," but she knew he was going to die and didn't just have him...take her car?

Or in the second-to-last episode, the whole thing was that Nathan needed to stay awake when the upgrade happened to get his memories back, but then he falls asleep and still gets his memories back?
It didn't really detract from the experience because I already knew I wasn't watching a prestige drama--it's more just kind of fun way to explore, like you said, some of the apps/market/AI stuff. But it wasn't the most tightly written show.

Just finished The Leftovers.

Season 1 was pretty good. Season 2 was very good. Season 3 was one of the best seasons of television I've ever seen. (I'd include the last few episodes of Season 2 in that run of greatness.)

I love how crazy and weird and unpredictable it got. That shit was bonkers. And then the finale was perfect.
