My friend is trying to schedule his bachelor party around this show, that's going to be tough especially with no GA tickets. In any event, there won't be a second show added unless its Sunday July 21 since Jason Aldean is headlining July 20th. I guess it COULD happen, and I'm sure Ed would love to get drunk and make a fool of himself at Stanley's in the time between, but it's still unlikely.

most of the time though night 2 is when they play the crazier setlist, which does suck if you are part of the people who caused the first one to sell out so they added a night 2, but at the same time i think they know most casuals wont go to 2 nights in a row, so they make night 1 more for the casuals and night 2 for the ones that were going to both nights and want to make sure they get something special.

Pearl Jam received wisdom (courtesy of 5 Horizons concert reviews, I guess) that is completely unfounded.

As embarrassing as this is to admit, I've probably heard every single official boot this band has released at least once. The idea that subsequent shows are always better/more interesting than the first is a myth, it's totally random.

This perception is likely based on 2nd night shows that rank amongst the highest with PJ fans:

4/3/94
9/11/98
11/6/00

It's not as though the second show is never better, sometimes they clearly are, but for every one that is that are plenty that aren't.

The belief is that they hold back during night one so they can still have energy during night two and Chicago 2 09, MSG 2 2010, PJ20 night 2, Amsterdam 2 '12 reinforce the idea about better setlists on night two.

Guys, don't make me go look up all the second night shows that weren't as good as the first.

Gorge 2006, there's one. Everyone went batshit about the first night, then rarely talked about the second.

I went to both 7/8/03 and 7/9/03. 7/8 was better. There, no need to look it up.

I agree with you, but I'd love to see your breakdown comparisons.

For every tour? Man, that sounds like a lot of work.
