Red Mosquito, Of The Girl and Take The Long Way are fucking great too. Big Wave is great but a step above.

Yep. I can't wrap my head around anyone NOT taking RVM and Corduroy at the very least here.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Yeah first four, easy

Never been a massive Corduroy fan. Totally fine song that has never really grabbed me the way it has others.Thurman Murman wrote:Yep. I can't wrap my head around anyone NOT taking RVM and Corduroy at the very least here.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Yeah first four, easy
Though I fully expect it to make it to the final, at least. And I'm totally fine with that. I won't fight against Corduroy. But I like a lot of these other songs more.

I agree. I like it a lot, but it's one of those essential PJ songs that's never come close to cracking my top 10. I always associate Corduroy with Rearviewmirror, as they're two of Ed's first big rockers, and I've always preferred the latter.durdencommatyler wrote:Never been a massive Corduroy fan. I burned out on RVM years ago. It's a good song, but I've just heard too many live versions.

I'm trying really hard not to let fatigue be too big of a factor in my own voting. But it's difficult. I feel you here and I don't really listen to many live versions. Still, even just feeling burned out on the studio version is something I can understand.Monkey_Driven wrote:I burned out on RVM years ago. RVM live has taken one of the more overt dives since its heyday. The jam used to be epic, but not for a long, long time.

I saw RVM live in 2018 and it was such a fucking amazing moment. Super intense and emotional.

Well RVM and Corduroy man these song are so great. I have never understood why these werent rock radio staples. They maybe the best two hard rock songs of the 90's. Lack of a video and promotion. When I am not feeling my self I grab my guitar and tear into that Corduroy opening riff until it becomes a living breathing shaking monster that is hardly recognizable from which it was born.

I never tire of hearing Corduroy, live or the studio take. It's quintessential PJ.
