Do you.... Do you think cities are autonomous from the national political economy?

Phatj, you have to be reasonable at both ends of the spectrum then. Where does the buck stop with Trump with your same approach here?

C'mon. I know you are intelligent. Look deep within you. This is not a my team vs your team only thing. Nuance. Lets think here.
Did you see the source of that tweet? Super liberal, activist, Shaun King. If he’s willing to admit that all these cities with the worst shit going on right now are run from top to bottom by Democrats, why aren’t most Democrats willing to say the same. The fact is most of these cities have been liberal run for decades. That’s verifiable fact, not assumption.
You didnt answer my point.

And i dont care that SHaun king is a leftist liberal. I dont care that he's supposed to be on my "team". its a stupid fucking tweet in my opinion.

Not exactly accurate on your part, digster. It’s vast majority liberal cities that have been that way for a looong time.

That's an interesting way to spin it. Technically true, but April saw numbers that this only begins to address.

PHATJ acting like this is another gotcha moment where the politician getting his ass handed to him by protestors more than any other in the country is fucking Bill de Blasio. :haha:

Oh, I certainly recognize that, but I’m also happy to have finished May better off by several million jobs than what was predicted. It also gives me hope that we can recover in the next several months.

Again, this is where you always seem to get slipped up, PHATJ. The protestors are undoubtedly predominantely on the left side of the dial, but they're able to see past their partisanship in a way that you can't seem to do with yours. Their problem is with Donald Trump and Andrew Cuomo. They don't care as much about the letter after the name as you do. If they did, they'd be taking it easy on the avowed liberal running NYC. It's silly to say their ideology is in the center, but they're not shackled to their partisanship in the way that you're shackled to yours.

Protesters can and have been misguided before, and they could be now. Just because some people hate the president doesn’t mean everyone feels that way.

Because its a surface level comment with absolutely 0 nuance. What are your thoughts on Bob kroll? There is shit going back with him for 14 years. He's the president of the police federation in MPLS. Does he have no blame?

You always try and turn this into a democrat/repiblican thing.

We, here , are stating THIS ALL NEEDS TO FUCKING CHANGE.

This isn't a gotcha moment, phatj. And it adds nothing to the conversation

That time period was all republican leaders. So, what say you? Are all republicans liable for police brutality?

I’m hardly shackled. I don’t always vote “R”. I’ve voted “I” several times. I actually strongly argued AGAINST Trump before his election. There were several candidates I preferred. This isn’t about political dogma in every respect for me. It’s about truth, reality, and moving forward in the best way possible.

Bob Kroll is a piece of shit and should be fired. I’m 100% against police unions.

Than I don't really know what your issue would be with protestors. If you're truly independent and not wanting it to be about parties, I'd think you'd find a lot of common ground with the person who wants both Trump and de Blasio to pack their bags. That person at least has shown they're willing to call out their own.

What are these protesters misguided about then? Police brutality is okay? Is the protesting not about police brutality, with an emphasis on systemic racism?

I have zero issue with Trump not being President. I don’t love him at all. I like him a million times better than anybody the Dems have paraded around over the last year. And he’s infinitely better than Biden. But there are plenty of people I’d much rather have the job.
