I think they're firmly out of that quirky experimental space that would allow for a lead Stone vocal

Stray Cats will have at least 3 of these songs.

Buckle Up was the chance to let this happen again, and they didn't. So I'm going with no.

No, I don't think so. I think they're all pretty established in their understanding of what their roles are within the band and have outlets outside of the band for anything that doesn't fit into that.
Please consider voting for me

Would they "let" him? Probably. Would he prefer Ed get excited about one of his songs and want to sing it himself? I think so.
I don't think Stone is saving songs for his solo records or whatever. I'm sure he was thrilled that Ed wanted to sing Buckle Up.

If the question isn't about Stone having permission to sing on a Pearl Jam song, and solely about the likelihood of another "Mankind" appearing as one of the tracks on an upcoming album, then I would say the chances are very low. A b-side or a soundtrack or benefit album contribution maybe.
The only way I could see it is if they really go for it with a double album "White Album" kind of thing.

I’m sure the band would 100% allow him to sing a song if he really wanted to.
Doubt he has any interest in it

Not if every album takes 7 years from now on. On a slighter album with not as much to prove, maybe?

I would definitely enjoy Buckle Up more had Stone sung it.

Re: Do you think PJ will ever let Stone sing on an album aga
i think their concept of what 'Pearl Jam' is at this point consists of Ed singing, and others can back him up, but a Stone singer goes by default to the solo album / side project pile

Re: Do you think PJ will ever let Stone sing on an album aga
If Stone sings Buckle Up it immediately gets a certain amount of cred it could never get otherwise. The quirk factor of Stone singing with those particular lyrics would garner support. Put another way, if Ed sang Mankind it would immediately lose about 30 fun points. It would be closer on the spectrum to Supersonic.

What if Ed sang Rock Around Barack (part 47 in my 70 part lecture on Pearl Jam and Politics).

Re: Do you think PJ will ever let Stone sing on an album aga
No, but I would love it to happen. Every single song Stone has sung on, is better than about half the songs Ed has sung on. Still none of those songs will be on an ultimate Pearl Jam album as voted by RM, but they are still cool songs.
