It's going to be very interesting to watch COVID numbers in these cities that have been seeing mass protests every night for over a week. Curious how everyone will look at things if there's really no significant bump in cases and deaths.
I'm trying real hard to be the shepherd.

It would be glorious if there were no spile in cases. We can basically throw some of these overboard recs out the window.

Not exactly BBQ temperatures here, but come on over and we'll fire it up anyway!

I might go hug a stranger!

Congrats!

Who would have thought a remote pacific island with a population density of 46 people per square mile could get this taken care of after only 3 months of closed borders!

:haha:

happy for you

Three main Islands thank you very much, and only really only two months of 'closed' borders (We still have at least 200 people a day coming into NZ)

So except for the border still being effectively closed - we go back to normal tomorrow. I'm just hoping that we don't need to go back into the office too soon

I couldn't go back to the office soon enough.

Working from home is torture.

Nah - I love working from home. Probably because I have nothing in common with most of the people there and we have a Martha.....she just sucks the joy out of everything.
It took me a wee while, but when we got kicked out of our office for 14 months due to earthquake damage a couple of years back, I really got into the WFH groove and will take any opportunity I can to stay at home

Oh no, believe me, it's not the people I go back for.

The less people the better.

It's just the whole routine of travelling in, the mental distance from home, the ability to concentrate, etc.

Depends on the job for me. When I’ve worked from home it was preferable for it to be something that didn’t necessarily require me to be on for a set time every day. So I could form my own work/life balance. Having a 9-5 now, I’d rather just go into the office and not have 8 million ways to procrastinate like I do at home.

21st of May was the last time you reported over 25,000 new cases across the US in a day. I'll bet you $100 that you get above that again within the next 3 weeks.

Aus dollars, so about tree-fiddy US.

EDIT - let's make it more interesting. Last time you were over 27,000 was 8th of May. Let's go with $100 that the US records over 27,000 cases in a day at some point in the future.

FWIW I would be very glad to lose and pay out on this bet.
