A classic "Best" vs "Favorite" scenario.

I'd say those are clearly the top 2 left....although, to be honest, I think this is the track # with the most obvious choice so far. I think the gap between Grievance and all the other songs here may be wider than any other first and second choice on other track numbers.

Both Grievance and Buckle Up are lesser songs on their respective albums, in my opinion. Both totally fine with some strong attributes that ultimately underwhelm. Buckle Up is probably better than Grievance at the end of the day but neither of them should have made it to this round, let alone the final in this match up.

"Grievance" is one of their most interesting "rockers". Lots of cool, unusual parts. It's got the straight-ahead power chord chug-along but also a lot of interesting arpeggiated parts that dance around the vocal melody, and also that cool and unexpected ending

So this "ultimate" is really just culled from Vs, Vitalogy, No Code, Yield and Binaural. That is weird to me, and unfortunate.

I don't think it's weird. I'd say albums 2-6 (esp 3-5) are the sweet spot. Plenty of good stuff elsewhere, including gigaton, but the majority of the fanbase grew up with those 90s albums.

Yeah i dont think its weird at all. Obviously there should be some "Ten" representation in an "ultimate" Pearl Jam album, but i'm not really surprised that we dont see it represented here.

Disagree. BRY has some good elements but I don't think it belongs on an album in terms of quality. Meanwhile, BU is a highlight for me.

Gigaton deserves to be represented but the best tracks have already lost.

Buckle Up even if I end up slipping my own Gigaton song in!
