A movie from argentina that got released last week, from some friends. I liked it a lot, looks awesome and even if the story is quite small, it has tension and some very cool scenes.

I watched Uncut Gems today. Damn that movie is pure chaos. I could not get myself to feel settled the entire time. Loved KG’s performance, too.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I also really loved Midsommar. The obvious horror tropes didn't bother me at all and I loved the pacing, the colors, and just the general atmosphere. I wanted to watch it again after I was done, which I pretty much never do with horror movies.

I also think it would be fascinating to watch back to back with Melancholia as I think the movies actually cover a lot of the same ground.
