According to our sources – the same ones who told us back in December that Ahsoka will be in The Mandalorian, and that Rey is Palpatine’s granddaughter, both of which turned out to be correct – a prequel is reportedly in the works that will show young Sheev working his way up the political ladder in his efforts to turn the Galactic Republic into the Empire. The project is still in the early stages of development and it’s unclear when it could get here, but casting short-lists are already being drawn up, with X-Men star Nicholas Hoult said to be one of the names that the studio has their eye on.

I would love to have a palps story with Darth Plagueis, and maybe Plagueis wasnt as bas as we thought. Maybe he was also misunderstood by the jedis and manipulated by Palps.

I’d be up for plageus novel being mined for the intrigue and political shenanigans palpatine got up to and make it a series targeted at adults. But that won’t happen.
blueviper has said a few times now that they only Star Wars he likes is the OT.
This project isn't real but if we're gonna speculate, If prefer it be a series. And that series should focus mostly on Plageius.
I'd like to see Palps be there Pinkman to Plageius's Walter White, except that, unlike Breaking Bad, in the end, the audience should be afraid and wish that the two lead character's fates had been the other way around.
