I liked it. I enjoyed it. And what a great, great cast.
I fucking LOVE this movie
I think its fine, but the cast really takes it to another level. Sudekis is playing the usually scumbag but here it has some heart to it. Hell, they got Adam Scott not to do anything funny!! Amanda Peet is a very cool lady.

It really improves the story.

I have no idea who the other people you mentioned are but I do enjoy watching Amanda Peet quite a bit, last saw her off-Broadway about a decade ago though.

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Yeah, this was a fun movie, I can see why it’s remained so popular.
I saw this last year and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it.

Made a pretty cool double feature i called ¨Men looking for missing women¨ featuring:

Frantic.

Such a beauty. Looks awesome, Polanski framing is superb here (the shower scene is so good), the photography is great and fucking Harrison Ford. Man what a star.

Hardcore.

A classic. Another one that looks super good, with another incredible star George C Scott. He is so good here. Powerful ending too.

Both movies have a missing woman with their male counterparts looking for them. Both men have to go under their social class and enter to a very different world to find them. Both movies finish in a powerful note, with our protagonists totally changed and in shock. Great movies.

Never watched Hardcore, but I remember the box art from my video store days.
You should watch Hardcore. Its such a good movie, and looks stunning. George C Scott is great as always. And the morality vs depravity issue is super complex and deep.

I loved watching these two back to back.

yeah, it has the classic elements from Paul Schrader. Church, faith, youth, sex. Its two world colliding and trying to talk to each other. And a pretty cool and sad ending.

yeah, cool movie for that setting.

I think what really liked about those two is that you could see there is talent behind the camera. Polanski framing on the shower scene in Frantic is amazing. That whole sequence with the two americans coming to the hotel, talking about stuff, relaxing and then her dissapearance is so good. Just soo good.

And Hardcore has a similar start, with beautiful shots of a snowing Grand Rapids and a family gathering after church. Talking about stuff. And you can actually know so much from those characters in those scenes. Its just incredible.

yeah, its a great score. The scenes with Scott wandering around the streets of California with that score are great.

Michael Chapman did the photography. He also did Taxi Driver, Invasion of the body snatchers, Raging Bull, Ghostbusters 2, etc

Looks glorious.

I finally watched both The Godfather part 1 and 2.

I know the popular opinion is that Part 2 better, but I think I'd give the edge to the first one. They're both excellent, though.
