I'll wait until every board member has weighed in before I make my decision, but so far I'm getting the sense that it's well loved and worth a watch.

Dammit. You know, sometimes top-paging yourself is worse than being bottom paged.

I know the popular opinion is that Part 2 better, but I think I'd give the edge to the first one. They're both excellent, though.
Yeah, the first one is so good. Both of them are top notch. Its been a while since i saw the trilogy i might watch it too.
Is Part 3 worth a watch?
yeah. They love it.
Yes, we do.

Manhunter.

Another great Michael Mann´s movie. I do believe the Hannibal series was better with this story, but it also had more time to develop the relationship between Graham and Lecter.

Death And The Maiden.

Powerful, very hard to watch. A little dated maybe? Sigourney Weaver is amazing. My god, what an incredible actress.

What movie is it where the (main?) male character is going to have a kid and he says something to the effect of “he won’t be like me, he’ll be smart” all teary eyed?

Is that Forrest Gump?

Yeah this is probably the scene I’m thinking of. But in my head I’m hearing it with like a Northeast/Boston accent saying “he’ll be smaht” ... guess I could be making the whole thing up.

I think you're combining Fredo from The Godfather with Forrest Gump.

Batman Begins.

I often forget how good this movie is. Everyone is top notch, even Katie Holmes! She is indeed awesome here, and i think it would have been a more tragic loss in TDK.

Also, Scarecrow is great.

Aha! You are exactly right. It was Fredo trying to explain that he is smart. Damn, tree, nice work. Thank you.
