The best thing about PS5 dropping is that all the PS4 games will get much cheaper, which is already happening. Nearly-obsolete Playstation gaming has always been A+, going back to when the PS2 came out.

Oh, yes. I love stocking up too.

I've been downloading all of my purchased/PS Plus games onto an external hard drive and I am staggered by the sheer number of quality games for the system. And there's plenty more I haven't picked up yet.

Details are hazy at best. It will backwards compatible, both digital and by disc. The exact rollout of what that looks like and what/when games will be available remains to be seen. They did say most of the TOP 100 PS4 games will playable on the PS5 at launch. So, there's that.

Watched some of the trailers in 4k. Ratchet and Clank, Deathloop, Resident Evil VII, and Horizon look truly next gen.

If it is a Uncharted: Lost Legacy or Infamous: First Light sort of thing, that will still be an excellent launch title. Especially, if it can serve as a stop gap before Spider-Man 2 in a two years or so.

I love the look of the console. It's so wacky and out there. Reminds of a Gamecube or Dreamcast design. Not sure how it will look when place horizontally.

It looks like we'll need a horizontal stand (likely sold separately) or the console will sit crooked.

I highly doubt they will ship it without a horizontal stand included. I give them props for trying something different and not just doing a gray/black box again.

Spider-Man Miles Morales is *not* an expansion or enhancement or remaster, despite a Sony executive's comments this morning, a source tells Bloomberg News. Nor is it Spider-Man 2. It is a brand-new, standalone game similar in scope to Uncharted Lost Legacy.

Looks like we have the option of a really fat console or a tall console this generation.

The air flow looks to be a main design consideration here, which is good to see. My PS4 Pro is probably going to wake the neighbors when playing the Last of Us Part Two.

Same. I'm not sure how many 4k Blu Rays I will actually buy, but it will be nice to have as a feature.
