Also I’ll just say that as an essential worker with a 7 month old who has cystic fibrosis, if you are choosing to fuck around with covid and disregarding rational guidance, you are a threat to my kid regardless of what your protest sign says

Rallies, protests, grocery store, whatever you are doing. The mask is the simplest form of protection you can give yourself and others. What's so difficult about it?

Re: Election 2020
Totally agree. My wife & I took our 3 kids to a march in my town, we wore masks, and looked for people without one. Only saw one old man without one (probably 2,000 people marching). But it's a somewhat well-to-do suburb in central CT, I realize big cities have a bigger problem with this.

I don't know that we're in disagreement, Bart.
My comments have really had nothing to do with your point.
Thank you for your work and good luck keeping your child happy and safe.

Re: Election 2020
It absolutely is an issue--one is about a historical event the importance of which protestors feel supersedes any virus threat, the other is about how the virus isn't a real threat at all. This obviously informs how we should talk about them. I nonetheless agree with bart that folks at the BLM protests not wearing masks are making a selfish or naive choice that endangers other people.verb_to_trust wrote:The content of the protest is a non issue. Covid didn't attend ivy league, bruh. Covid is not woke.Mickey wrote:I mean they are fundamentally different protests with respect to the pandemic so.

Hot weather won't stop the virus, but hopefully it stops protesting.Mickey wrote:It absolutely is an issue--one is about a historical event the importance of which protestors feel supersedes any virus threat, the other is about how the virus isn't a real threat at all. Re: Election 2020
Fun fact:
In 1977 Joe Biden fought against integrating Black schools. He said that integrating Black students would turn schools into a “racial jungle” and saying “I don’t want my kids to grow up in a jungle, a racial jungle.”
Still planning on voting for this racist?

I don't know why conservatives keep describing the left in ways than make them sound far less milquetoast than we actually are.elliseamos wrote:Welp. Pack it in, red waves coming.PHATJ wrote:
