Honestly, I feel worse for having not seen Groundhog Day than I do this one.

I think there are certain moments that are a little preachy but overall I'd say, no.

If you like Spike Lee in general I can't imagine disliking the movie. It's nowhere near his best but it's an interesting and worthwhile journey. And it's dripping with Spike's aesthetic.

Ah. Then, I'm gonna guess this one will be more on the miss side for you. But I'm glad you're going to check it out and see for yourself. If nothing else, Delroy Lindo gives a career defining performance that shouldn't be missed.

I haven't seen He Got Game, yet. But Summer of Sam and 25th Hour are both top tier. Do The Right Thing is still is best, though. And one of the greatest films in American cinema history, I think.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I think He Got Game on HBO Max now. So, I plan on checking it out very soon. My wife and I always go way to long between Spike Lee Joints. We watch one and then want to binge them all and then wait to long to see another. Rinse/repeat.

But there are so many available on streaming services right now that I just don't have any excuses. I want to watch Chi-Raq, He Got Game, and Malcolm X before the summer is over.
