Re: Song of the Moment: Man of the Hour
I was listening to Benaroya this morning and the sequence from NAIS > Man of the Hour > Immortality is just classic stuff. But I had to go back and listen to MOTH a few times here. For a debut performance, they just kill it here! I've always liked this song but wow this really hits home on Benaroya.
Modern day PJ needs to go back and listen to this and take some notes on how the full band can effectively take an Ed solo song and incorporate the right instrumentation and layering around it to make it work beautifully as a PJ song...
(The opposite can be said for Gone, which was not handled well by the full band...)

Re: Song of the Moment: Man of the Hour
I re-listened to this when it came up in the LB thread and realised I actually quite like it. It's much better live than studio when ed sings that verse higher/ louder its a shame he doesn't on the benaroya version, but I still really like it. Way better than thumbing my way for me.
There's a version from Prague 06 On YouTube that's awesome.

Besides, I just can't associate Man Of The Hour with Pearl Jam for some reason.
Is it credited to the whole band or just Eddie?
(I liked the movie, touching stuff)

Looking at that single artwork for the first time in almost ten years, it kinda weirds me out that it looks like Stone carrying Ed.

Stone might have done that a lot of times in his dreams. Carried Ed into deep waters and drowned himLament wrote:Looking at that single artwork for the first time in almost ten years, it kinda weirds me out that it looks like Stone carrying Ed.
